Jaime and Erik’s begging wins them an $80,000 wedding

Survivor China cast members Jaime Dugan and Erik Huffman have won the $80,000 wedding that they begged fans to help them win.

In the cut

They’ll marry April 4, 2009 at Wild Dunes Resort in Charleston, according to a press release. That’s presumably the same day that virginal Erik will lose the most interesting part about himself.

Besides using Facebook, Erik and Jaime also issued a press release about their “low-key love story”. They’ll apparently be blogging about their wedding, although that page does not yet exist.

Clearly, my plea to vote against them failed, or else People magazine’s positivity has a stronger pull than my cynicism (and apparently teh couple wasn’t aware of it, judging by Jaime’s post here (currently the fourth one from the top).

There is some good news: the runners-up all get “a two-night stay in a luxurious one-bedroom villa” worth $1,000, according to the Charleston Area Convention and Visitors Bureau.
